I'd be Proud, if I had Time

Just a quick update, Allison over at Simply Sock Yarn
has recetly posted some of my reversible project bags on her shop!  What a thrill to see something I made available in someone's shop! Go check it out!

Plus her Joyeux Noel Knit Kits have sold out three times already and I've got more fabric on order!  Whew!

Take a moment to peek at  Allison's blog she always has lots of great kniting news, patterns, and cute pictures of her little boy.

There's No time for a Post

I have been super busy working on reversible project bags for Simply Sock Yarn Company. Allison Van Zandt focuses her on-line shop on sock yarn:  simply brilliant.   But sock yarn is not just for socks --- it's a great weight for mittens, shawls, scarves, and so much more. Most sock yarn is super soft and springy, plus many are superwash (so you don't have to worry about accidental felting).  Over the past several years, sock yarn has made a big splash and designers are creating wonderful colorways that will literally knock your socks off! I strongly suggest that you try lace using sock yarn (so much easier than regular lace yarn).  Photo courtesy of Allison Van Zandt, Simply Sock Yarn Company.

Frost

November is here, soon frost will kiss ground. So to honor the cooler weather, I decided to frost my brown linen sheets with icy aqua shams and coverlet.
I am thoroughly enjoying the last of my Sombrielle roses before they begin their winter hibernation.

French, Fringed, and Fabulous

Kari Meng of French General fame  has recently come out with a line of fabrics inspired by vintage French linens. This heavy weight linen is my favorite.  A quick stitch along each end and plucking about an inch of threads and I've got a new table runner.

Friday Find

Sometimes I find something so intriguing, that it's too hard to resist!  ENID, a clever retro-chic shop in Fredericksburg (specializes in handmade and unique gifts) offers magic tape. With several different motifs to choose from- I may have to go back for more! Each 2" tall ring of tape is 30 yards long (yes, YARDS, that makes this stuff about 12 cents a foot or a penny an inch) - it goes forever.  So you can tape up gifts, make your own custom stationary & envelopes (it took me less than 5 minutes to whip-out all of these cards & envelopes), decorate frames, corkboards, um, I know there is a lot more you can do with this stuff!

The tape has just enough stickyness to adhere securely, but remains easy to work with.  I used a bone folder to go over the tape once I had it in place to remove airbubbles. WOW  - What a fun product!
You can buy it on line from ENID, but I suggest you just stop on by and see all of the exceptionally interesting things Lara has available!
